Spring Essentials: Beauty Edition

Spring is the time when all begins anew! Flowers are blooming, trees are blossoming, the grass becomes green, and I overhaul my entire make up routine (naturally). Today, I'm going to be sharing the make up bits that I've been reaching for most this spring. AKA: definitely a lot of things you should consider for the Sephora VIB sale!

For my perfect (I don't mean to be big-headed, but it's my favorite), dewy base my go-to lately has been Marc Beauty's Shameless Youthful foundation and Becca's Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer. These two are lightweight and breathable enough to be perfect when the weather is warming up, and despite being self-setting, I feel the Shameless finish is ideal for a fresh look. Becca's concealer pairs beautifully with that foundation. It's hydrating and light, while maintaining good coverage. This duo has been giving me life for weeks. 10/10 rating from this lady.

I am 127% a cheek lady. I'm obsessed with blush, contour, and highlight. I quite literally cannot get enough (it's amazing I don't constantly look like a clown, tbh). Narrowing down the cheek pool was tough, but the products I've been reaching for most were the clear winners. For blush, I've been really in love with Glossier's Cloud Paint (Puff and Beam all day). It is SO fresh and natural; it's perfect all year round, but especially for spring, when you need some life in those wintry cheeks. My current go to powder blush has to be Becca's Skimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush (Snapdragon is my favorite). It's pigmented, blendable, and slightly shimmery. Beautiful. For highlighter I chose Fenty Beauty's Killawatt duo in Mean Money/ Hu$tla Baby (ABHxAmrezy as a close second). I am OBSESSED (hence the extremely grubby pans *shrug*).

*Not pictured are my contour and bronzer picks: bronzer: Becca Sunlight. Contour: Tarte Park Ave Princess. They are both gorgeous and easy to use!*

I'm a matte lip kind of girl, but glosses have been slowly sneaking their way into my routine, and I figure I might as well just give into it. The sun is coming out, and a little shimmer never hurt anyone. My matte lip pick of the moment is Fenty Beauty's Mattemoiselle in S1ngle (AKA the PERFECT peach EVER). It's not drying, breathable, and gorgeous. I could wear it every day. And the current glosses of my life are the Fenty Gloss Bomb and Becca's Lip Gloss. Both are a little sticky, as glosses are, but they are really excellent. They don't look ridiculous and have nice wear (and the Becca one smells of summer). OBSESSED.

Spring is literally the one time in my life that I go easy on the eyes. I am normally a big eyeshadow user, and cat eye wearer. For spring, I like to keep it simple and fresh. This spring my loves have been: Glossier's Lidstar, the perfect wash of color. And the ABH Soft Glam Palette, the most versatile eye shadow palette I own. Both of these are very, very different, but both are excellent staple pieces for year round wear. They can both be made as subtle or dramatic as you wish. Perfect for the days when you just need a little something in the crease or inner corner, AND perfect for a sultry night (multi purpose is really the best thing ever).

Those are my picks, friends. Spring is my favorite season. I love all of the pastels, the light, dewy faces, and everything in between! I'd love to hear what you're loving this spring. Until next time, cheers!

*All of the aforementioned items (excluding Glossier) can be found at Sephora.*
