My Favorite Hydrators of All Time

As a woman on a mission of finding moisture (for my skin), I've tried a blue million moisturizers and oils and serums, and I've landed on four as holy grail status hydrators that I will always have in my cabinet, no matter what I'm testing on the side. For a little background, I have sensitive, super easily irritated, acne-prone, combination skin (but lean dry most of the time; SUPER dry during winter). Let's jump in!

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel

This gel-based, lightweight moisturizer is formulated with B5 and pineapple ceramide, both of which are meant to nourish and brighten. It also has soothing properties, protects against free radicals, and has anti-aging properties! I have personally been using this moisturizer in my rotation for over a year, and I love it. I have mostly dry skin, and combining this product with oils and serums works beautifully (especially DE's own Marula Oil). This product is super easy to blend into skin, and it provides lasting hydration.

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream

*Probably my favorite of the bunch.* This cream has a '9-signal peptide complex,' and is said to provide immediate improvement of the appearance of skin. Fine lines, dullness, wrinkles, and dryness stand no chance against this innovative formula. It has proteins, nutrients, signal peptides, growth factors, amino acids, and Pygmy waterlily extract. All intended to provide instant results and to better skin over time. I LOVE this cream. It is my 'daily driver' in terms of moisturizers, and I genuinely do think it has done wonders for the appearance of my skin.

Marula Oil

Marula oil is an absolutely amazing product, in it's own right. It is a one ingredient wonder. For the full low-down on Marula Oil, see my previous post and video completely centered around it. Marula oil has a myriad of benefits, and is suitable for all skin types. It has totally changed my skin care game. Since including it in my daily regimen, I've had almost no issues with dry patches, and I've also seen other benefits!

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk

This blend of purified water and Argan oil is intensely hydrating, and is AMAZING for extra dry days (or extra dry spots). It plumps and hydrates, while working to repair and brighten. During the winter, I use this often on and around my nose because they are historically the driest parts of my face. It helps me IMMENSELY. I have been using this intermittently for at least two years, and I really love it.

Thank you so much for reading along, and for being the best! It's taken me a long time to find these little beauties, and I felt obligated to share their wonder with the world. Happy hydrating, friends!

NOTE:As someone with really sensitive skin, I feel it goes without saying that none of these products irritate or break me out.
